About the Team
  Team Blackbolt have become one of the most talented and resourceful collection of individuals in the XBMC community.

Built from a core team of 'in-house' developers and a careful selection of partners who bring their own creations to our library, growing our community and being able to offer more high quality projects to more users.

   Blackbolt
Blackbolt started designing GUI's in 2004 with XBMC, currently is lead design for Ellipsis and all-round consultant concerning graphics within the team. Is co-team leader along with EqUiNoX.

Working first on Xbox Classic, a solo project UI for XBMC, then in 2006 moving onto MC360, the Xbox 360 'Blades' UI. Ellipsis marks the third skin by the team and the first ‘original’ design as Blackbolt calls it, the first two skins having been replicas of already existing designs.

Blackbolt likes to unwind on Xbox Live with games like F1, Battlefield, Call of Duty and Forza. He is also a huge Superman fan and his favourite film is Back to the Future. Blackbolt also loves to play the guitar and watching Formula 1 racing.


 EqUiNoX
Equinox broke into the scene in 2006 during the production of MC360, helping enormously with software creations such as XBMC Skin Editor and XPR Express. Equinox is lead coder and co-team leader at Team Blackbolt.

Equinox joined Team Blackbolt originally to help with the quality control of the code structure of MC360, due to its increasing complexity, he was able to bring his astronomical software engineering skills to help improve the skin and make it the amazing skin it became.

Music and software are Equinox's main passions, he enjoys writing music and listening to it. He also loves Xbox Live and has earned the nick-name ‘cannon fodder’ from the rest of the team.


 Hitcher
Hitcher got his start with XBMC Skinning with his fanart view mod for MediaStream. He then moved to modding for AEON, adding lots of unfinished parts of the skin, fixing bugs and adding new features. There are currently two major mods available based on Hitchers original 'AEON Hitched' mod.

Now lending his amazing talents to Team Blackbolt working with Ellipsis. Previously was working on the development for Alaska, Hitcher, with help from cf2009 and ccMatrix was able to finish another unfinished project of Duncan Harris. With his utter determination and dedication, Hitcher has been able to bring some of the best ideas for XBMC to fruition. Most recently releasing his Xeebo skin, a favourite for many.

TV shows are Hitcher's main passion, he enjoys shows like 24, Being Human and LOST. Also a fan of Xbox Live, Hitcher is most looking forward to Halo Reach.

 Rocky5
Originally a modder for Xbox apps, Rocky5 joined Team Blackbolt on Blackbolt’s request. Working first with graphics and animations, he has now turned his hand to coding, putting into practice all the skills he has learned along the way.

He also worked as part of the MC360 team back in 2006, making sure that the skin matched the real 360 dash as closely as possible. Rocky5 also developed animations and effects closely with Blackbolt for MC360 and is now working on Xperience with XBMCG33K and Arcanthur.

Xbox Live has another victim in the team, Rocky5 enjoys almost all game types, his favourites being Call of Duty and Battlefield. Quite the opposite to Equinox, he is known as ‘Rambo’ by the team for his charging tactic in almost all games, the team prefering to use Rocky5 as bait.


 XBMCG33K
Originally started drawing comics in the mid 90's. Eventually grew into computer graphics as more of a hobby but now as a passion. Only discovering XBMC a couple of years ago, has been hooked ever since.

G33K started out with the concept of Xperience only a few short months ago and has seen the project grow from an idea to a reality. Xperience is more than just a skin it's a way for the team to express themselves.

G33K also has a passion for gaming which makes him yet another formidable foe of Xbox Live, he enjoys FPS game types particularly Halo 3 and Call of Duty. Much like Blackbolt's usage of Rocky5 as bait, G33K likes to use EqUiNoX as a decoy and pick off the the enemies one by one from afar with his Sniper Rifle.


 Arcanthur
Started skinning WindowsBlinds and Winamp in the late 90’s then moved on to creating skins for Evox and Avalaunch and eventually designing the logo for the Avalaunch program. Now skinning with XBMC due to the design possibilities.

He enjoys playing Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War on Xbox Live. Not limited to FPS's, Arcanthur also likes to play RPG's, racing, and adventure games. His current favorite game is Fallout 3.

Playing guitar is another of his passions and occasionally Arcanthur likes to draw both in the traditional medium and digitally.


  WingmanNZ
WingmanNZ found XBMC back in 2004 when he wanted more from Windows Media centre. Not to long after that he discovered Team Blackbolt's skin "MC360" and began working with XBMC and MC360. Now running XBMC and Ellipsis on a Apple Mac Mini.

He began developing the XTV skin late 2009 with eumel and development is going well.

TV shows & Movies are WingmanNZ's passion. He loves Lost, Smallville and The Big Bang Theory. WingmanNZ's love for the Battlefield game series almost rivals Blackbolt's with Bad Company 2 being his favourite on PC.
